Agility builds support hub for growing humanoid fleets.
Agility Robotics plans a 50,000-square-foot Pittsburgh center for software, deployment, monitoring, service and repair as commercial Digit humanoid deployments expand across industrial customers.

The facility will add about 35,000 square feet to Agility's existing Pittsburgh footprint and serve as its software and AI center of excellence, a customer-deployment hub and an East Coast service center. Teams will validate workflows, develop skills, monitor deployed fleets and perform complex repairs.
Agility says Digit is operating with GXO, Schaeffler and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada and with four additional customers across automotive, consumer goods and agriculture. The company reports more than 65,000 hours of real production experience and expects employees to enter the new site by year-end.

What changed
Agility previously established RoboFab for robot manufacturing and announced individual customer deployments. The Pittsburgh expansion adds the lifecycle infrastructure needed to deploy, monitor, repair and update a growing installed base, linking field experience directly to software and skill development.
02
Why it matters
Industrial robots become dependable assets only when support systems can keep them productive after installation. Co-locating software, deployment and repair teams can shorten problem resolution, turn field failures into validated updates and give customers a clearer service path as fleets grow. That operating layer is especially important for humanoids, whose flexible tasks create more software and integration variability than fixed automation. The facility is still a plan, however, and Agility has not published fleet size, uptime, mean time to repair or customer productivity. Those metrics—not floor area or order value—will determine whether the expansion supports durable commercial operations.
03
What to watch
Watch the facility opening, staffing, East Coast repair capacity, additional named customers, active robot count, fleet uptime, intervention and repair times, software-update controls, safety incidents and customer evidence on throughput and labor outcomes.
Why it was a runner-up
The service infrastructure is a meaningful commercialization signal, but the facility is not yet open and Agility did not disclose fleet counts or customer-level operating results.
Impact: 86/100 · Confidence: 84/100
Agility provides the facility size, functions, customer list and production-hour claim, while Pittsburgh business reporting corroborates the expansion. Confidence is high in the plan and existing customer relationships; fleet scale and operating performance are not independently disclosed.
